I am starting this blog to share with our fans on Reverb Nation, Facebook, and Twitter information about the band and it's members, our upcoming events, and other things that occur to me and seem worth sharing.
In this initial post the overwhelming thing in my mind is to express gratitude for all of the wonderful support that we have received so far. In our initial outing at the SPBGMA festival in Jefferson City, MO; at the SPBGMA event in Nashville, and everywhere else we have appeared the reception has been very positive and very much appreciated.
We have not talked too much about this up to now, but we have faced a serious challenge with the CDs over the past couple of weeks; we received them, and they were flawed, so we had to turn around and re-order them. We are sorry for the delay in getting them in the mail to those that have pre-ordered, but they should be going our over the next couple of days. Thanks again for your support and your patience!!
We are off to Wichita, Kansas to play at the Artichoke on Thursday and at the KBA winter festival on Friday. We are looking forward to seeing many old friends there and making many new ones; if you are in the area be sure to come out and see us, we will be performing from 6:00 to 6:40 PM on Friday, February 17. We should have CDs in hand!
We have a number of upcoming performances in CO and beyond, and we will be sure to keep you informed.
Finally, I would like to sincerely thank Geoff Stelling for putting a full page ad on the back of the Feb Banjo Newsletter featuring Jeff Scroggins and Colorado!! Geoff has been very good to me over the years, and I have played my Stelling Virginian exclusively since winning in a contest almost 25 years ago. It is very cool that Tristan now has a great Stelling mandolin. That sort of makes us this a de facto Stelling band!
Until next time,
